The largest island of the Spanish Balearic archipelago is a destination for those seeking sun and relaxation. The corner boasts some of the best beaches in Europe. Spectacular views and clear water shimmering in many unusual shades of blue await here.
Mallorca is one of the most interesting islands for a vacation in the Mediterranean Sea, often underestimated due to the party reputation of some resorts. However, the famous Magaluf is just a drop in the ocean of what this corner of the Balearic Islands has to offer. The island's climate has a unique charm, and its great showcase are the beaches - you can find as many as 262 here! In total, they cover 50 km of coastline, and 25 of them can boast Blue Flag status.
Regardless of whether we prefer wide stretches with full infrastructure and restaurants in the area, or quiet coves away from the crowds, Mallorca will be a hit. In terms of sunbathing, it is the absolute pinnacle of Europe: the local beaches are second to none. We send the typical party-goers to Ibiza, Mallorca does not have beaches that turn into one big open-air disco, here there are atmospheric chiringuitos with good music and a unique ambience.
It is worth to rent a car and look for the perfect beach for you. Among more than 200 corners we are sure to find one tailor-made for you. In the meantime, we suggest you which beaches are considered the most beautiful in Mallorca.
Camp de Mar
Camp de Mar is one of the most exclusive resorts in Mallorca: here you will find excellent hotels and luxury apartments. The beach is perfect for this place, with soft and clear sand, wonderful water and divine views.
Here you will find a complete infrastructure, including a small children's playground, and the real jewel is "La Illeta". A small island with a restaurant, which can be reached via a wooden bridge, is one of the most picturesque places with delicious cuisine on the island.
Formentor
The cape of Formentor is the northernmost tip of Mallorca. Tourists often come here to admire the views: the mountain route itself is an attraction in itself, and at the end there is a reward in the form of a crazy panorama with Menorca on the horizon. And it is in this rocky area of Mallorca that you will also find one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Surrounded by a pine forest, it impresses with the unusual blue of the water, which is emphasized by the white sand. Although in the middle of the season it is quite a popular place, you can feel here sometimes like on a wild beach.
Alcudia Bay
The longest beach in Mallorca: it stretches for 3 km! Alcudia, in turn, is one of the most popular resorts, full of accommodation facilities of all possible standards.
Active recreation enthusiasts are tempted by the wide range of water sports, and families with children have a gentle descent into the water, which is warm and clean, as well as soft sand and a children's playground. There are restaurants and bars nearby, but there are no parties here, it is quite quiet.
Cala Mondragó
Cala Mondragó is located in a protected area in the immediate vicinity of a pine forest and impresses with its turquoise waters. Besides swimming and sunbathing, it is a great place for snorkeling, and there are also several trails to choose from, one leading to the equally beautiful beach of Cala s'Amarador.
Cala Mondragó is recommended for families with small children. There are not many amenities here, but there is a beach bar on the beach. A very large parking lot is available just a few minutes from the beach.
Es Trenc
Looking at the pictures of Es Trenc, you may get the impression that we accidentally got our hands on photographs of some exotic corner. The water here has a beautiful color, like in the Maldives or the Caribbean.
The beach is long and wide, up to 60 m, and the sand is light and soft. It is considered unspoiled, although it is quite popular with tourists in the season. There are no toilets or showers here, but there are two beach bars where quiet music plays and you can buy snacks.
Canyamel Beach
The golden beach of Canyamel is located in the town of the same name, at the northeastern end of the island. On one side, it is enclosed by the mouth of the river, and on the other, a rocky coast covered by a pine forest with a pleasant smell.
This is a great place for snorkeling. Next to the beach there is a restaurant, water and beach equipment rental.
